Landscape Photography

Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment. Ansel Adams
Landscape photography has fascinated us because of its beauty of recording God's creation. This is the true essence of capturing the light. Professional landscape photographers sometime wait for several days for his/her perfect light. The perfect combination between light sources (sunlight, skylight or moonlight) from above the horizon with the detail of point of interests on the foreground can create a breathtaking view.

However making a fine-art landscape picture is not straightforward. The most frustated thing for us to make our first landscape pictures is to get a perfect exposure due to the high difference of dynamic range between our eyes and our camera equipments. Composition and angles play an important role. One advantage of making a landscape picture is that you have a plenty of time to prepare your camera on a tripod and setting proper filter(s). However during the sunrise/sunset, you only have several minutes before the twilight has gone.
